Celebrating Simplicity and Peace this New Year…

Let’s Dish…

During the fast pace of the holiday seaon, it is easy to lose sight of the traquility and beauty that surrounds us every day.

Take a breath as we enter the new year…
Allow the splendor of new fallen snow, a pine branch, and aged piece of wood to decorate your world. The crisp whites, blue grays, and deep greens of the season make every room feel alive and new again. Nostalgic items add warmth to any setting stirring fond memories of years passed.

In 2018, let’s step back to appreciate the comfort of home. Take a moment to celebrate life and all grace that it brings.

Happy New Year!

A Feast For Your Eyes

Let’s Dish…

We love Thanksgiving! Everything about it is delicious.

The deep, rich hues of the season, have inspired us to create these gorgeous rooms to gather and feast!

Warm wood tones create cozy environments to reminisce with family and friends. Rich goldenrod and pumpkin hues help wet the appetite. Earthy greens remind us of the grace and bounty of nature.

Fill your soul with laughter and good food.
Happy Thanksgiving!

City Living and Outdoor Spaces

Let’s Dish…

An urban oasis. A small hideout nestled in the rooftops.

From the ground these small treasures of “greenspace” can’t be seen, but they often become the epicenter of entertaining and enjoyment during the summer for city dwellers.

Gathering places for parties and barbeques or quiet get-aways to catch some rays, a well designed rooftop in the city has become a necessity.

Well placed wispy greenery and cleverly designed screens frame the perfect view at sunset. Accent lighting and comfortable lounge seating create the ambiance. Add speakers for music, an outdoor kitchen, and a hidden TV…voila…the perfect tree house in the sky!

Island Retreat

Let’s Dish…

After a long mid-west winter, forget spring fever, summer is on everyone’s mind!
Lazy, hazy days on Lake Michigan are great, but nothing outshines a tropical paradise.

Mia Rao Design provided a tropical oasis in this master bath, of a Chicago restaurateur.

Nothing like slipping into a soak, surrounded by deep sea hues and rich teak wood at the end of a stressful day…

Bon Voyage!
